OEN July PubTalk Picnic: Land Your Brand
It’s one of the most challenging (and fun) parts of creating a startup: building a successful brand from scratch. How do you capture your concept visually? How do you set the tone for the culture you want your brand to embody? How do you cast the mold for your brand in a way that retains your core values over time, but flexes to meet the moment as the company grows? How do you fire up your best customers to shout about your brand from their virtual rooftops? How do you afford the talented support to figure it all out?
The July 13th PubTalk: LAND YOUR BRAND will offer perspective on all these questions and more. Featuring startup founder Amina Moreau, who is answering these questions in real time for her company Radious. Honey Mamas CEO Jared Schwartz, who stewards a brand that has become one of Oregon’s most popular and delicious (yes, there will be samples!), and brand expert Anne Lipsitz, who spent nearly 20 years at one of the best known brands on the planet – Nike.
Plus! This will be a “PubTalk Picnic” and be held outside on the beautiful patio of the Field Office (1895 NW Front Ave). Join us for drinks and nibbles, and wish Amanda well at her last PubTalk as Executive Director!

Panelists
Jared Schwartz | CEO, Honey Mama’s
Jared joined Honey Mama’s four+ years ago to support the founder, Christy Goldsby, in her vision to create a treat unlike any other – one that supports vitality, optimum health, and the delightful pleasure of indulgence. Prior to Honey Mama’s, Jared worked in craft salt and craft beer, and explains that he didn’t set out to be a purveyor of indulgent food and bev, but fell into this market niche after earning his MBA in Brand Management while in London. Highlights of Jared’s tenure at Honey Mama’s include landing national distribution with Target, launching a new Cake Series product line, and closing a $10.3M Series A investment.
Amina Moreau | CEO, Radious.pro
Maybe it’s the athlete in me, maybe I’m just stubborn. But dang it if I don’t love a good challenge. I’ve built a good number of companies over the years with some close friends. Two of them were acquired and one of them even won a handful of Emmys a while back. I don’t consider myself an eternal optimist, yet I tend to see opportunity where others see roadblocks. I believe that storytelling is one of the most effective vehicles for social change, and I keep that in mind whenever I build something new. I’m building something new for the remote work future now.
Anne Lipsitz | Brand Consultant
Anne has over 25 years of experience as a strategist, brand leader and team builder, working within and advising consumer product companies. Passionate about the power of leaders to successfully serve consumers from her twenty years as a NIKE executive, Anne’s work focuses on strategic alignment across organizations and best use of resources to build the capacity to scale. With experience in marketing, operations and organizational change, she can look from strategy to execution and across functional groups, to connect the dots and unlock growth.
