Ann McQuesten
Associate, Perkins Coie
Ann serves as Chair of our PubTalk committee. As a corporate attorney, she has experience counseling buyers and sellers in mergers, acquisitions and corporate reorganization transactions. She advises clients on corporate formation and governance, employee equity, executive compensation and securities law compliance, and also drafts and negotiates commercial agreements. Ann has represented issuers and investors in debt and equity financings totaling over $100 million raised.
Caleb Pilling
Senior Manager, Geffen Mesher
Caleb is OEN’s Board Treasurer. At Geffen Mesher, he provides auditing and accounting services to companies in the construction, manufacturing, dealer services and real estate industries. He has earned the prestigious Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) designation, which denotes proven expertise in fraud prevention, detection and deterrence. Caleb is also a regular speaker to professional services firms on how to deter, detect and defend against fraud.
Clifton Chestnut
Senior Writer, 30 Point
Cliff is OEN’s Marketing & PR Committee Chair. He began his career as a staff reporter at The Oregonian, covering crime and education at the Portland newspaper for six years. With a firm foundation in journalism, Cliff followed his passion to Madrid, Spain, where he launched and managed a successful language services company. He joined 30 Point in 2014, translating his writing and global business acumen into strategic communications services for clients.
Derwyn Harris
Co-founder and Chief Product Officer, Talkoot
At Talkoot, Derwyn manages product strategy, development and market positioning. He first found his professional footing in software development, and went on to co-found Jama Software, where he worked with customers including SpaceX, Apple, Intel, Amazon, NASA, Boeing, Dolby and Merck. A long-time cyclist and backcountry skier, his latest obsession is surfing. He balances this outdoor exuberance with a love of language and music.
Gilian Fenner
Assistant Vice President, Property & Casualty Executive at USI Insurance Services
Gilian is OEN’s Fundraising Chair. She has more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, working with C-suite executives and leveraging her relationships to assist management teams and owners of emerging and growth stage companies in designing a comprehensive risk management program tailored to their specific needs. Gilian helps provide strategic solutions that drive economic results and enhance enterprise value.
Jim Coonan
Former Executive Director, Oregon RAIN
Jim recently retired as Executive Director of Oregon RAIN. Previously, Jim served as Venture Catalyst Manager at Economic Development for Central Oregon (EDCO), advancing the entrepreneurial ecosystem in that region through efforts that included managing the Bend Venture Conference and developing regional entrepreneurial assets. He is also a successful entrepreneur, former CEO, and an investor.
Mary Hull
Partner, Stoel Rives
Mary is OEN’s Annual Campaign Chair. She is a partner in Stoel Rives’ Corporate practice group and is Co-Chair of the firm’s Technology Ventures Group. She has a general corporate and securities law practice with an emphasis on the representation of emerging-growth companies. Mary regularly advises start-up and early-stage companies on general corporate governance matters and equity compensation issues, and she has extensive experience in representing these clients in venture capital and angel financings.
