Portland is already gaining a reputation as a hotbed for techies, social entrepreneurs, foodies, and outdoor enthusiasts. But did you know that our fair city is also an emerging hub for fashion design?

On its world-class runway, Portland-based FashioNXT has been showing “what’s next” from extraordinary fashion designers like Project Runway winners and Allstars Michelle Lesniak, Seth Aaron, and Michael Costello, as well as partnering with personal technology brands like Carbon Audio, Intel, HP, and Samsung.

OEN is proud to partner with FashioNXT to help up-and-coming entrepreneurs in the fashion industry catapult their careers. FashioNXT emerges from the Executive Producer’s success in building Portland Fashion Week – ranked by TIME Magazine as the #1 show in the US outside New York Fashion Week – to embrace what’s next in fashion and what’s next in a fashion forward lifestyle.

Accordign to FashioNXT, “Portland is a unique market that is extremely tech savvy, places a high value on quality of life, appreciates aesthetics, and has a strong loyalty to sustainability.”

On Thursday, October 9, 2014, FashioNXT runway will light up with the most promising emerging fashion designers. Want to be part of the show?

To participate in the FashioNXT-Up/NXT competition, you must appear at an audition on August 10 in front a highly influential judging panel. The designers chosen will have their collections and styling skills shown under the bright lights of FashioNXT runway on Oct 9, and have earned recognition that only a few others may achieve. From that competition, one will emerge as the designer who is next – winning a prize package that will be highly impactful for catapulting their business to next level.

The FashioNXT Wearable Technology Fashion Competition will recognize the most fashionable wearable technology design concept, going above and beyond making technology wearable to making it fashionable and most importantly, worn. The competition aims to change the status quo on how the world experiences the use of technology through fashion. The finalists and winner will receive recognition of their talent by having their design concepts showcased at the 2014 FashioNXT runway show and receiving national and international press.

Let’s show the world some Portland style!
